Forex Capital Markets, also known as FXCM LLC is an on-line foreign exchange broker based in New York. Founded in 1999 it allows retail traders to buy and sell currencies on line by providing their own on-line trading platform called FXCM Active Trader.
FXCM is one of the original developers of on-line trading in foreign currencies, and since opening its first office and headquarters in New York has since established centers in such major cities in the U.S. as Dallas, San Francisco, and internationally in Hong Kong, London, Tokyo, Paris, and more.
Be warned, that although it seems easy to trade with FXCM on-line, it is quite another kettle of fish to actually make money doing this. To quote the chief executive of FXCM, “I would be surprised if even as many as 15% of day traders are making a profit.”
